How to Use the Archives Block in WordPress?

Since the archives block is a core WordPress block for the Gutenberg block editor, we will not require the installation of any third-party plugin.

Go to your post or page where you want to insert the block, and after that, follow the steps below.

Insert the Archives Block

Hit the “+"Ícone (Add Icon) (1), digite "Archives" na caixa de pesquisa (2), and click on Archives Block (3).

Once you tap on the block, it will appear in the editor. After that, you can customize the archives block’s options from the editor’s right side.

You set up your current look by making it look like a dropdown menu simply by activating the option “Display as dropdown.”

You can also enable the option “Show post counts” (1) to display the number of posts. The block allows you to display posts based on year, month, week, and day. (2)

Block Styles

In the block styles tab, you will get to customize the typography and dimensions for the block.

In typography (1), you can adjust the font family, font size, font appearance, line height, letter spacing, decoration, and letter case.

In Dimensions (2), you can adjust the margin and padding for the block.
